Passenger Injured by Vehicle at Traffic Light – $100,000

Our client was a passenger, in a vehicle that was legally stopped and waiting for the green light. When the light turned green and they proceeded to go, they got impacted from behind. Liability was accepted, and the insurance’s initial offer was $58,000.

Injuries included: difficulty sleeping on side from neck pain, back pain, and shoulder pain, headaches, ringing in ears, head hit against the back of headrest, and bruising on the back. Treatment included chiropractic care, Ghods MD, MRI of CS, LS and Brain, Ortho spine surgeon. Client’s meds were $17,907, treatment was conservative but with future recommendation of C4-5 Epidural w PRP and C3-5 ACDF worst case scenario.

We continued to negotiate and agreed to settle at $100,000 after 9 counters. Our client was satisfied with the settlement and appreciated that we kept pushing. During the earlier stage of the negotiation, our client had already mentioned settling her case based on the earlier offer.
