Injured In Rear-end Accident – $100,000

Our client was involved in a motor vehicle collision where he was rear-ended. Following the accident, he reported immediate symptoms including upper back and neck pain, dizziness, lightheadedness, and several hours of post-collision confusion. Clinical evaluations eventually led to diagnoses of a concussion, neck and back sprains, and spinal stenosis in both the cervical and lumbar regions. MRI imaging later confirmed multiple disc bulges at the C5–6, C6–7, L4–5, and L5–S1 levels, some of which are contacting the spinal cord or causing neural stenosis.

To manage these injuries, he underwent an extensive treatment regimen starting with emergency department care and transitioning to consistent chiropractic sessions and physical therapy. As conservative measures failed to resolve his chronic pain and radiating numbness, he sought specialized pain management intervention. This included several rounds of medication and two injection procedures: a lumbar epidural steroid injection at L5–S1 and a second injection at the L4/5 level. Despite these efforts, he continues to experience unresolved pain and radiculopathy, resulting in total medical expenses to date of $50,491.30 with recommendations for ongoing future care. He also had TBI symptoms.

After tough negotiations with the insurance carrier regarding the severity of his injuries and the necessity of his ongoing treatment, we were able to successfully secure the full policy limits of $100,000. By highlighting the objective MRI findings, TBI symptoms, and injection procedures, we convinced the insurance carrier to pay the limits. Our client was extremely happy.
