Whether big or small, accidents will always cause damage. Although seat belts and airbags are instrumental in saving many lives, injuries still occur.  Here are five of the most common injuries after an accident.

Neck Injuries are one of the most common vehicle injuries. The incredible pressure on the ligaments of the neck causes strains and sprains. Then there’s whiplash which happens when a collision causes the head to suddenly shake forward or toward the side.

Knee Injuries are very common after a car accident do to a direct impact from a head on crash, rear end collision or a roll-over accident. You may have these symptoms redness, swelling, tenderness, tingling, locking, grinding, weakness and instability. This can be the result of a fracture, a torn ACL, MCL, PCL, a Knee Sprain/ Strain, or a Dislocated Knee.

Broken Bones (Fracture) occur when the physical force applied on the bone is stronger than the bone itself.  There are two kinds Simple Fracture which is when the bone breaks but there is no open wound in the skin and Compound Fracture breaks through the skin.

Back Injuries can cause pain and limit your movement because the spinal cord runs the full length of the back; any injury in the back is serious. Symptoms are pain up or down your legs, weakening of your muscles, numbness in your extremities, and general steady back pain.

Concussions occur when the brain is shaken severely inside the skull. Can cause bruising if it’s just mild, if it’s more serious you can have these symptoms vomiting, nausea, headaches, and disorientation.

Don’t let your injury take a toll on you, pay attention to the pain.  These injuries can worsen if not treated promptly.  The Accident Guys are here to provide you legal guidance. Call for a free consultation at 877-888-GUYS.
